For PHI 3941.
Philosophy Practicum was revised in 2005 as a course primarily, but not solely, for philosophy majors with an emphasis on academic ethics. One of the requirements for Philosophy Practicum is to engage in outreach activities to promote academic integrity at the college/university, secondary, and elementary school levels.
The objective of the course is to contribute significantly to the community through the service component, combining student research and regular discussions, assignments, and presentations in class to enhance and facilitate service and research. Students develop and sharpen skills in research and critical and analytical reading and writing through the content, service, and research elements of the course.
